I know it's in terribly bad taste to make fun of someone's blog (especially since this one sucks), but when someone starts ripping on San Diego, S.D. has to represent bitches! (I'm 3rd or 4th generation San Diegian) :)

Actually, now that I dig into it a little more, I don't even have to say anything, all I have to do is quote his blog (keep in mind this is a dude)...

He can knit, so I guess it's not *all* bad. ;)

Our good friend and neighbor Wendy has taught me how to knit!

I will be hanging out and just knitting up a storm...

...knitted for about two hours while watching "The Muppet Show"...

    Julian Ames settled in East El Cajon in early to mid 1800’s (Los Coches Ranch). Had Frank Ames who had Salome Ames who had your grandmother Lorraine who had me, who had you. Does that make you 5th or 6th generation San Diegan?

    Nice! Glad my knitting has gotten some attention.

    Nothin’ wrong with watching the muppet show either. :-) I grew up in SD for 27 years and do miss it sometimes, but I certainly don’t miss the gnarly traffic and the mid 600k house prices.

    Searching for maternal lineage via Ames. Any idea how many kids Salome (AKA Sarah) and William Lyons had? This is the first mention I’ve found, and I am tracing myself through a decendant named Katherine Lyons who had a brother Joe, and now maybe a sister Lorraine? Any info would be appreciated, and a direct female decendant from Salome I’d purchase a DNA test for to make sure I’m on the right track! 760 738-6171
