Giant Catfish

Does this seem like a pretty big catfish to anyone besides me? Something like 650 lbs (I forget exactly now)...

    Seriously though, thats rediculious. Did this picture come from a reputable source or is it photoshoped? I can’t imagine you could actaully catch that think… (not like you can just reel it onto your rowboat with some 20lb test).

    I saw a film once where they were catching fish that size. They had to fasten themselves to the boat if I rememeber correctly. Was pretty cool!

    This catfish is amazin!:) Anglers in northern Thailand netted this huge catfish in the Mekong River - the biggest freshwater fish ever hooked!!! Nearly nine feet long and as big as a grizzly bear, the behemoth tipped the scales at a big 646 pounds!!! Thats 293kg!!!!
